PFDG meet with resident of Bucklebury to discuss their flood alleviation scheme and partnership funding. Bucklebury started the project after flooding in July 2007. They initially contacted an independant consultant for the EA and used his ideas/solutions for the scheme. Bunds, dry ford & bypass channel protect 25 homes, the church & village hall. Villagers paid 10% of the cost - suggested contribution was based on council tax band. Their scheme was completed in June 2011 - just under 4 years but advised that 8 years is more realistic.
